Step-by-step Plan

1. Arrival and Preparation (30 mins): Arrive at the stables to meet your guide, sign safety waivers, and get matched with a horse suited to your experience level and height.
2. Tacking and Mounting (20 mins): Learn about your horse's personality, adjust your stirrups, and mount your horse safely using the mounting block.
3. Dune and Nature Trail (30 mins): Set off through peaceful coastal nature reserves and winding dune paths to get comfortable with your horse.
4. The Beach and Surf Ride (60 mins): Head onto the wide, sandy beach. Walk along the water's edge, ride through the shallow waves, and enjoy a controlled trot or gallop depending on the group's experience level.
5. Return and Untack (20 mins): Ride back to the stables, help reward and untack your horse, and share your favorite moments of the trip.

Reservations & Hours

Reservations must be booked well in advance through the riding school. Rides depart year-round, but schedules vary weekly depending on daylight, local tide charts, and seasonal beach access rules. Private bookings and group rides are available.

What to Bring

• Comfortable, long trousers (riding breeches or seamless leggings are ideal to prevent chafing).
• Sturdy, closed-toe boots or riding shoes with a small heel.
• Weather-appropriate layers (windbreaker or waterproof jacket as coastal winds can be chilly).
• A safety helmet (complying with current safety standards; can also be borrowed or rented from the stables).
• A chest harness if you wish to use an action camera (helmet mounts are strictly forbidden for safety reasons).

• Accessibility: This activity is physically demanding and is not suitable for individuals with severe back pain or limited mobility.

Backup Plan

In the event of severe weather or high-velocity winds that make beach riding unsafe, the stables will contact you to reschedule. Alternatively, you can opt for a covered indoor arena riding lesson, visit the local maritime museums, or enjoy hot cocoa and panoramic sea views at a nearby sheltered beach pavilion.
