Step-by-step Plan

1. 09:00 AM – Travel to Baan Tawai: Take a 30-minute ride by Grab taxi or rented scooter south from central Chiang Mai to Baan Tawai Handicraft Village in Hang Dong.
2. 09:45 AM – Studio Welcome & Motif Selection: Meet your artisan instructor, enjoy a cold herbal drink, and choose your starter design—traditional Lanna floral patterns, elephants, or geometric temple borders etched onto prepared softwood or teak blocks.

6. 01:15 PM – Village Exploration & Lunch: Stroll the shaded canals and alleyways of Baan Tawai to see master carvers at work on monumental temple sculptures, then grab northern Thai khao soi at a local roadside eatery before heading back.
