How to make it
1. Chill the Glass
- Place your coupe glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the drink.
2. Shake
- Add the London Dry Gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice, orgeat, and Angostura bitters into a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker generously with ice cubes.
- Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 10 to 15 seconds until the tin is frosty and well-chilled.
3. Strain and Serve
- Discard the chilling ice from your coupe glass.
- Strain the cocktail into the chilled coupe using a fine-mesh strainer to catch any tiny ice shards.
- Twist the peel over the surface of the drink to express its fragrant oils, then place it on the rim or float it on top.
Garnish
Expressed twist of grapefruit peel (or lemon peel)
Make it alcohol-free
Replace the 60ml London Dry Gin with a botanical non-alcoholic spirit (such as Seedlip Spice 94 or Tanqueray 0.0) and use alcohol-free aromatic bitters or a drop of allspice extract.
