How to make it
1. Chill the Glass
- Place a large ice cube into a heavy rocks glass and set it aside.
2. Combine and Stir
- Add the vodka, coffee liqueur, and cooled espresso into a mixing glass or a separate tumbler.
- Add a generous handful of ice cubes.
- Stir smoothly with a bar spoon for about 20 to 25 seconds until thoroughly chilled.
3. Strain and Finish
- Strain the liquid directly over the fresh ice cube in your prepared rocks glass.
- Float three whole coffee beans neatly on top to finish.
Garnish
Three whole coffee beans floated on the surface.
Make it alcohol-free
Replace the vodka with 50ml non-alcoholic distilled spirit (such as Lyre's Dry London Spirit or plain chilled black tea) and swap the coffee liqueur for 25ml non-alcoholic coffee liqueur (such as Lyre's Coffee Originale) or 20ml cold brew sweetened with 5ml simple syrup.
