How to make it

1. Quick Steep

  1. Place the grated fresh ginger and the black tea bag directly into your mug.
  2. Pour over 100ml of freshly boiled water, stir briefly, and let steep for 90 seconds.

2. Heat and Combine

  1. While the tea steeps, warm 150ml of whole milk in a small saucepan or microwave for 45 seconds until hot and steamy (froth slightly with a small whisk or fork if desired).
  2. Strain the steeped ginger tea into a fresh mug (or remove the tea bag and press the grated ginger through a small tea strainer) to catch the solids.
  3. Stir in 15ml of honey or brown sugar until fully dissolved.
  4. Pour the warm, creamy milk over the spiced tea base and stir gently to combine.

Garnish

A fine dusting of ground cinnamon over the milky surface
