How to make it
1. Quick Steep
- Place the grated fresh ginger and the black tea bag directly into your mug.
- Pour over 100ml of freshly boiled water, stir briefly, and let steep for 90 seconds.
2. Heat and Combine
- While the tea steeps, warm 150ml of whole milk in a small saucepan or microwave for 45 seconds until hot and steamy (froth slightly with a small whisk or fork if desired).
- Strain the steeped ginger tea into a fresh mug (or remove the tea bag and press the grated ginger through a small tea strainer) to catch the solids.
- Stir in 15ml of honey or brown sugar until fully dissolved.
- Pour the warm, creamy milk over the spiced tea base and stir gently to combine.
Garnish
A fine dusting of ground cinnamon over the milky surface
