How to make it

1. Prep the glass

  1. Fill a large wine glass generously with fresh ice cubes.

2. Build the drink

  1. Pour the dry gin, elderflower liqueur, and fresh lemon juice over the ice.
  2. Top with chilled prosecco and sparkling water.
  3. Give the drink a gentle, brief stir from the bottom up to combine without losing the carbonation.

3. Garnish and serve

  1. Tuck the cucumber ribbon along the inner side of the glass.
  2. Clap the mint sprig between your palms to release its aromatic oils, then place it neatly on top next to the ice.

Garnish

A long cucumber ribbon tucked into the glass and a lightly slapped fresh mint sprig.

Make it alcohol-free

Replace the gin with a non-alcoholic botanical spirit (such as Seedlip or Gordon's 0.0), swap the elderflower liqueur for elderflower cordial (vlierbloesemsiroop), and substitute the prosecco with alcohol-free sparkling white wine.
