How to make it
1. Prepare the Aromatics
- Peel and thinly slice 15g of fresh ginger root into coins.
- Lightly clap 6 fresh mint leaves between your palms to release their essential oils.
2. Steep
- Place the sliced ginger and mint leaves into your glass mug or heatproof vessel.
- Pour 250ml of freshly boiled water directly over the herbs and ginger.
- Cover the mug with a small saucer and allow it to steep for 5 to 7 minutes to draw out the warmth and aromatics.
3. Sweeten and Finish
- Stir in 15ml of fresh lemon juice and 15ml of honey until completely dissolved.
- Leave the ginger slices in the mug or strain them out, according to your preference.
- Garnish with a fresh mint sprig and serve immediately.
