How to make it
Method
- Place a single large ice block or a few sturdy ice cubes directly into your rocks glass.
- Pour in the vodka, followed by the amaretto.
- Stir gently with a bar spoon for about 15 to 20 seconds to blend the spirits and chill the drink thoroughly.
Garnish
No garnish needed, or express an optional strip of orange peel over the top to release its oils if you prefer a subtle citrus aroma.
Make it alcohol-free
Replace the vodka with 50ml of a distilled non-alcoholic spirit (such as Seedlip or CleanCo) and swap the amaretto for 25ml of non-alcoholic amaretto alternative (like Lyre's Amaretti) or a dash of almond syrup mixed with water.
