How to make it
Step 1: Prep the glass
Place a large ice cube into a chilled rocks glass.
Step 2: Mix the ingredients
Pour the gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth into a mixing glass filled with ice.
Step 3: Stir to chill
Stir the mixture gently with a bar spoon for 15-20 seconds until the mixing glass is cold to the touch and slightly diluted.
Step 4: Strain and finish
Strain the liquid over the fresh ice in your prepared rocks glass.
Garnish
A wide strip of orange peel, twisted over the drink to release its aromatic oils, then dropped into the glass.
Make it alcohol-free
Replace the gin with a non-alcoholic gin substitute (such as Tanqueray 0.0%), swap the Campari for a non-alcoholic bitter alternative (such as Lyre's Italian Orange), and use a non-alcoholic sweet vermouth (such as Lyre's Aperitif Rosso).
