How to make it
Prepare the Glass
- Place your coupe or Nick & Nora glass in the freezer for 10 minutes beforehand to get it thoroughly frosted.
Shake the Cocktail
- Add the London Dry gin, vodka, and Lillet Blanc into a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker generously with fresh ice cubes.
- Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 12 to 15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is completely frosted and ice-cold.
Strain and Finish
- Double strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into your pre-chilled glass to catch any tiny ice shards.
- Express the essential oils from the lemon peel over the top of the drink, wipe the rim with the outer skin, and rest the peel inside or on the edge of the glass.
Garnish
A long, thin spiral of expressed lemon peel.
Make it alcohol-free
Swap the gin for 60ml of a botanical non-alcoholic spirit (like Tanqueray 0.0 or Seedlip Spice), the vodka for 20ml filtered water or an unflavoured non-alcoholic spirit, and the Lillet Blanc for 10ml non-alcoholic white aperitif (or chilled white verjus with a dash of non-alcoholic aromatic bitters).
