Method
Prepare the Oven and Ramekins
- Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). Lightly grease four individual oven-safe ramekins with a little butter.
Mix the Berry Filling
- In a medium bowl, gently toss the mixed berries with 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of plain flour until the fruit is evenly coated.
- Divide the berry mixture equally among the prepared ramekins.
Make the Crumble Topping
- In another bowl, combine the rolled oats, light brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
- Add the cold, cubed butter to the mixture. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the dry ingredients until it clumps together and resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
Assemble and Bake
- Scatter the crumble topping generously over the berry filling in each ramekin, covering the fruit completely.
- Place the ramekins on a baking sheet to catch any bubbling juices.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the topping is golden-brown and crisp, and the berry juices are bubbling up around the edges. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
