Getting There

Stroll across to St. George’s Square and pause at an outdoor cafe on Merchant Street for an espresso and freshly baked pastizzi (flaky pastries filled with ricotta or spiced mushy peas).
• Evening: Watch the sun dip from the terrace of Upper Barrakka Gardens, gazing down over the Grand Harbour and the fortified skyline of Birgu. Head into the historic, lantern-lit staircases of Strait Street for craft cocktails and a romantic Mediterranean dinner in a vaulted cellar restaurant.

Day 2: The Three Cities & Harbour Views
