Eternity
2025movieWhy watch
Directed by David Freyne and backed by A24 and Apple Original Films, this high-concept fantasy romantic comedy takes a genuinely fresh angle on afterlife mythology1. It centers on a woman (Elizabeth Olsen) arriving in a cosmic waystation where every departed soul has exactly one week to choose where—and with whom—they will spend the rest of time2. Caught in a dilemma between the partner she grew old with over decades (Miles Teller) and her passionate first love who died young and waited for her (Callum Turner), the story pairs classic screwball romantic tension with existential questions about memory, devotion, and what truly defines a life well lived13.
Where to watch
Globally, Eternity streams on Apple TV+ as part of its worldwide distribution partnership24. It is also widely available to rent or purchase digitally across platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Google TV, and VOD storefronts in most regions3.
