Cómo prepararlo
1. Chill the Glass
- Place a large ice cube into your rocks glass to let it begin chilling while you assemble the pour.
2. Combine and Stir
- Pour the sweet vermouth, rye whiskey, Fernet-Branca, simple syrup, and aromatic bitters directly into a mixing glass or measuring jug.
- Fill the mixing glass halfway with regular ice cubes.
- Stir smoothly with a barspoon for about 25 to 30 seconds until the exterior feels frosted and the drink is properly chilled and diluted.
3. Strain and Serve
- Strain the liquid over the single large ice cube in your prepared rocks glass.
Decoración
Express the oils of a wide orange peel over the surface of the drink by giving it a gentle fold skin-side down, rub the peel around the rim of the glass, and tuck it neatly alongside the ice.
Hazlo sin alcohol
Swap the sweet vermouth for 50ml non-alcoholic red aperitif (such as Lyre's Aperitif Rosso or Roots Divino Rosso), replace the rye whiskey with 25ml non-alcoholic dark cane or whiskey alternative (like Lyre's American Malt), trade the Fernet-Branca for 10ml non-alcoholic herbal bitter digestif (such as Dr. ZeroZero AmarNo or The Pathfinder), and use alcohol-free aromatic cocktail bitters.
