Por qué leerlo
Goldenborn brings an inventive, energetic concept to modern fantasy3. It sets high-stakes investigative procedural beats against a vibrant Afrofuturist world45. The story follows seventeen-year-old Akoma Addo, who operates within a covert task force in near-future San Francisco tracking illicit magical incidents after an unexplainable strike leaves her father in a coma36. When a brutal case pulls her into direct contact with Ghanaian folklore figures—including the trickster god Anansi—she must navigate dangerous supernatural bargains to solve the mystery and seek a cure27. It is an ideal read if you crave fresh worldbuilding that pairs futuristic tech with rich West African myth, sharp character banter, and a gripping mystery engine35.
