1. Prepare the Base

  1. Add the sugar syrup, Angostura bitters, and orange bitters directly into a rocks glass.

2. Stir and Chill

  1. Pour in the vodka and drop in a single large ice cube.
  2. Stir steadily with a barspoon for about 30 seconds to chill, integrate the bitters, and achieve the right dilution.

3. Finish

  1. Express the oils from the fresh orange peel over the top of the glass, rub the rim gently, and drop the peel into the drink.

Swap the vodka for 60ml of a non-alcoholic botanical spirit (such as Seedlip Spice 94 or CleanCo V) and use alcohol-free aromatic bitters.
