Bereiding
1. Toast the Walnuts
- Place a dry skillet over medium heat.
- Add the walnut halves and toast for 3 to 4 minutes, tossing frequently, until fragrant and lightly golden.
- Transfer the toasted walnuts to a cutting board, let cool slightly, and roughly chop them.
2. Caramelize the Spiced Pears
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the pear slices in a single layer and cook undisturbed for 2 to 3 minutes until the undersides take on a light golden color.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon, ground cardamom, ground ginger, and a tiny pinch of salt evenly over the pears.
- Drizzle in 1 tablespoon of the honey along with 2 tablespoons of water to create a sauce.
- Gently toss the pears to coat them thoroughly in the spiced glaze. Simmer for 4 to 5 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pears are tender and the pan sauce turns syrupy. Remove from heat.
3. Assemble and Serve
- Divide the chilled Greek yogurt evenly between two shallow serving bowls, using the back of a spoon to create a gentle swirl on top.
- Spoon the warm spiced pears alongside the yogurt, drizzling any pan juices over both the fruit and yogurt.
- Scatter the chopped toasted walnuts generously over the top.
- Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of honey over the bowls and finish with a light pinch of extra cinnamon before serving immediately.
