Como se faz

Preparation

  1. Place the fresh basil leaves into the base of a cocktail shaker or sturdy glass.
  2. Add the lime juice and simple syrup, then gently press the basil leaves with the back of a spoon to release their aromatic oils without shredding them.

Shake & Assemble

  1. Pour in the gin and add a handful of ice.
  2. Seal and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds until thoroughly chilled.
  3. Strain the liquid into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Top up with sparkling water and give a brief, gentle stir to combine.

Decoração

A fresh basil sprig clapped between your hands to release the aroma, tucked beside a crisp lime wheel.

Versão sem álcool

Replace the dry gin with 50ml of a non-alcoholic botanical spirit such as Seedlip Spice 94 or Fluère Original.
