Como se faz

Prepare the Glass

  1. Use a channel knife or vegetable peeler to cut a continuous, long spiral peel from the entire lemon.
  2. Drape one end of the peel over the lip of the highball glass, curling the long ribbon down inside the glass.
  3. Carefully fill the glass with solid ice cubes, locking the spiral against the inner wall.

Build the Drink

  1. Pour the brandy directly over the ice.
  2. Add the Angostura bitters.
  3. Top gently with the spicy ginger beer and give a single, brief lift with a bar spoon to combine without flattening the fizz.

Decoração

Long, continuous spiral of lemon peel curling from the base of the glass over the rim.

Replace the brandy with an equal measure of non-alcoholic dark cane or oak spirit alternative (such as Lyre's American Malt or Undone No. 1) and use non-alcoholic aromatic bitters.
